Hello, everyone. Sorry for the alarmist subject line, but this article http://grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm is very interesting. It concerns a DDoS attack on a security website by a trio of 13year old s'kiddies. The zombie machines are all Windows based, but I know that many of you still use Windows along with your favourite Linux distro. What is great about this article, is that the author/victim had the contacts, time and ability to trace the origin of the attacks, and also to find ways to fend off further attacks. It is a little long, and reads a lot like a Cold War spy novel (not necessarily a bad thing), but is well worth the time. Bye for now, Stuart.
