Hi all, I thought something of this nature had already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything in the mail archives. It seems anytime I try to open, save, insert files into OO now, the file requestor creates a sig 11 crash. The file requestor window opens and closes in an instant, then the crash. It's not crashing OO and you can continue to work nicely in it, but the file requestor is not working any longer. Anyone else and any ideas? tia, Lee -- --- KMail v1.8 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "He's not my brother, he's just heavy." ........Bucky Katt

I did as others did and uninstalled Openoffice and installed 1.1.4 from the openoffice web site.

Thanks Paul, I should have noted that this problem was solved after getting the answer from someone else. Sorry, don't remember the writer, but it was a simple matter of removing the old kde link software. OpenOffice.org-kde, which helps OO to better integrate with KDE. I also didn't stop at that, but downloaded OO.org 2.0! Well worth the trouble, nice new features. Haven't gotten to play much yet, but it's pretty stable. regards, Lee -- --- KMail v1.8 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "He's not my brother, he's just heavy." ........Bucky Katt

glad you got it working. I voted to go for the "stable" 1.1.4 release, but I'll probably try the 2.0 soon! now I'm trying to figure out what happened to my switch user capability, it seems to have disappeared... the GUI, not the /sbin/su command.. -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800 X-Request-PGP: http://home.comcast.net/~p.cartwright/wsb/key.asc
