This has been on the list just recently, must have been at the beginning of march. 'USB devices appear as SCSI devices' was one subject line among them. The only thing I remember right now, is, you need to start the kernel module named 'usb-storage' - and your zip drive will appear as /dev/sda4 AFAIR. Cheers ...
