Hi My digital camera produces .mov files but a 40 second movie takes up over 11Mb. Is there any way I can compress this? I just don't have the bandwidth for clients to download it from my dsl line. Sorry folks. Have not had the time to reserach this. Just need a quick answer. Nikon 990, SuSE 10.0 apache and MySQL out of the box. Cheers, Steve

If you can play it in mplayer, then you can recompress it to a format that gives you better compression. mencoder would be the right tool, I think Other than that, I guess you can see what bzip2 will do to it
