Read the back of the book dude ... mockers all wind up in the lake of fire .... LOL Seriously though, the nice thing about it is that you can have some precompiled kernels for download that are just like what the distributors are shipping, in fact that's a cool idea John - you include some pages with stock kernels from the various distributors, such as Slack, Debian, Red Hat, SuSE ... then people can also have a handy resource for install diskettes, etc... put some LILO tutorials and such on the site ... As far as support goes, it's just like any other linux effort. This imaginary - but deluxe site - would be a good idea to put a majordomo on it and let it support itself like any other newsgroup or list like this one at SuSE. SuSE's advantage would be to have this list as well as a separate list for the kernel compiler site. The kind of traffic this thing would bring would become a major resource on the net.
