Has anyone been able to compile the RC3 of libvorbis? I managed to compile and install libao 0.8.2 and libogg 1.0-rc3, but when I tried to compile libvorbis, the compiler segfaulted with an "cc1: internal error" message. Has anyone tried compiling it, and if so, with which compiler. TIA Anders

Well, Charles Philip Chan just confirmed that it's done. The problem could be bad RAM or a combination of gcc flags. What is your CFLAGS when you are compiling? -- Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 3A1446A0

OK, it works when I do a "plain" compile, but it segfaults when I try to do -march=i686. The default i386 works. This is also with 2.95.3. If I get a moment to spare later I'm going to try gcc30.rpm. //Anders

I am actually using -march=k6. It is strange that it doesn't work with i686. You might want to file a bug report. Regards, Charles -- The box saids Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux

I subscribe to vorbis@xiph.org and I just reminded myself that the problem came up there, more specifically http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis/200110/0358.html . It seems to be a gcc bug. -- Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 3A1446A0
