I have used Opensuse for about 4 or 5 years, even buying the box sets. About 6 years ago I switched to Kunbuntu for some reason now unknown to me. I use command line way, no problem here, see http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:System_upgrade#Command_line

My reason for asking this lame questions is to get me up and running without breaking my system during the install customization phase and then seeing me get frustrated to the point of whipping out the install and going back to Kubuntu.

I was also using Kubuntu for some time. I moved content of home folder from one distro to another and all applications were working as I was used to. :-)

I use Tumbleweed (amounts to a rolling release) on a production system and have virtually no problems. Very satisfied. Started with 11.2 and about to become 13.1.
