[opensuse] modems/providers and kinternet
Hello list users: I want to configure a modem on my openSUSE 10.3 system. This is a serial line external modem. I have no problem with adding the modem and configuring providers with YaST but I have the following issue: Whenever I add or remove a modem and/or provider it won't be reflected in kinternet until I restart the computer. Eg. I had 3 modem devices configured and I removed two of them, kinternet still shows all 3. I ran SuSEconfig, restarted network but they did not make any change. How could I have kinternet show/notice the current status of configured modems and providers without rebooting? TIA, IG HÁZTARTÁSI GÉPET szeretnél? RENDELJ MOST! Have you tried simply logging out and back in again to start a new KDE session? If that fails, try CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE to restart the X session, although this should be unnecessary. Just restarting KDE should be sufficient. -- =================================================== Rodney Baker VK5ZTV rodney.baker@optusnet.com.au =================================================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
