[opensuse] fingerprint reader in leap 42.1?
Hi, am I blind or is there no support for fingerprint readers for authentication in Leap 42.1? Cheers Mathias -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I think there is, but very minimal. I have one pn one laptop but don't know how to use it (it's simply not seen as far as I can see) jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I'd call that "no support", not just minimal... Weird part is, according to the sdb articles I've found there used to be support, in yast even. Cheers MH -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

may be I simply misunderstood something, and the fingerprint reader I have if special, even difficult to use in windows (and unusable in windows 10) jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

For sure there was support for it in 13.2. I tried it when I installed my previous laptop (was in 2010), and there was a pam module for it, so I could use it to log in. Was not too reliable though, and I never used it again. My new T460p also has one, but I didn't look at it so far. Maye I should? (but I'm running TW on it...) 13.1 had it's own yast2 module. It's still available for Tumbleweed, but it wont't install. Haven't had time to dig in any deeper. Op maandag 10 oktober 2016 15:25:34 CEST schreef Mathias Homann <Mathias.Homann@opensuse.org> :
