Hello, I'm having problems getting a working VPN with freeswan over a SuSE 9.0. I downloaded modified freeswan from: http://www.suse.de/~garloff/linux/FreeSWAN/RPMs-90-CGL/freeswan-1.99_0.9.34-... I installed the latest kernel (166) with ipsec and cryptoapi built in (I also tried as modules) but when I try to start ipsec the following messages appear: ipsec_setup: Starting FreeS/WAN IPsec 1.99... ipsec_setup: modprobe: Can't locate module ipsec ipsec_setup: kernel appears to lack KLIPS ipsec_setup: failed ipsec_setup: OOPS, should have aborted! Broken shell! failed If I try the command: # ipsec look then this message appears: awk: /usr/lib/ipsec/spd.awk:14: fatal error: internal error grep: /proc/net/ipsec_tncfg: No such file or directory Actually I wonder about that fatal error!! Probably I'm missing something. Is there a step by step tutorial for configuring VPNs over a SuSE 9.0 box with freeswan? Thanks in advance for you help Roberto
