I am just now starting to try to get my wireless working on 10.1 with an Intel 3945. I would appreciate hearing further about your trials and tribulations and methods for success as time permits.
... Sorry, I have been on vacation, so I see your message now. Did you read http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/INSTALL ? I loosely followed this document since I had already a number of things from the installation. I do have some problems : the LED, and the fact that the wlan is always on, I didn't (yet) find the start and stop scripts from SuSE. I think I'll have to (try to) make them myself. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Koenraad Lelong R&D Manager ACE electronics n.v.

After I added ipw3945d to my startup script the wireless worked flawlessly on my Dell D820 in 10.1. (for some reason the ipw3845 module but not the userspace ipw3945d app??) E-Mail disclaimer: http://www.sunspace.co.za/emaildisclaimer.htm

Now that ipw3945 has been installed the wireless is working fine. I read a bit ago on this group about wlassistant so I am going to go try it out next. If anyone has an opinion of this or better network monitor and access programs please feel free to advise. Cheers, Bob
