Hi! I read that KDE2 supports unicode. But I didn't find any application on the SuSE 7.1 that make possible to input japanese characters, like Microsoft's IME on Win2k. Did anyone heard about a such tool on Linux? Thanks. -- Christophe Greisberger Zenon-Media GmbH e-mail: greisberger@zenon-media.com Phone: +49 (7852) 9133 / 34 Fax : +49 (7852) 9133 / 35

From 7.0, it became impossible to import SuSE Linux (for Intel) into Japan, due to some license problems with StarOffice package :-( For this reason, I suspect that SuSE Linux 7.1 does not contain any softwares to input Japanese characters easily.
One easy way to input Japanese characters in X environment is to use FSF Emacs (with leim).
