I have a new msi motherboard ( k7t266pro2 RU), it has a promise 20265R raid card on board supporting raid 0 an 1. just wondering if anyone knows if this is supported with suse 7.3 or if any of you suse employees monitering list knows if its supported in the coming 8.0. thanks. I'm thinking of using this board in a linux machine if it is supported. if not then it gets windowsXP installed on the system. jack

<soapbox> These aren't real RAID controllers, as all work is done in software (BIOS and driver). That's why Andre Hedrick calls them Fake-RAID. </soapbox>

7.3 does have the pdcraid driver needed to support these, but you're on your own setting it up. SuSE Linux 8.0 will support it out of the box, including installing on an already set up Fake-RAID. Philipp
