TIA!
Do a 'gnome-config --version', the first two digits of the version number
reflects the version of gnome you're using.

If you are running the default install then it would be the "October release" which is Gnome 1.0 I would suggest that if you are happy with 6.3 then I would download the Helix packages and uninstall the default. The HelixGnome is much better and works well under 6.3 This is only my personal opinion...since SuSE doesn't support Helix. I like this polished version very much. * James (Jim) Hatridge (hatridge@straubing.baynet.de) [001014 17:28]: --> -->Hi all, --> -->How do I tell what version Gnome I'm running?
