I have tried opening several libreoffice documents today from my NFS share on my NAS and every file asks to open in read only. Copied to the local HDD, the file opens fine. I have tried turning off file locking inlibre office and it makes no difference. This was working a couple of days ago and the issue has appear on my opensuse 13.1 laptop and desktop and on a few ubuntu machines at work. This is frustrating as a couple of months ago libreoffice broke compatability with CIFS/SMB shares and now NFS isn't working either! -- Paul Groves -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I guess you've already opened a bug report? I'm also using LibreOffice with NFS-mounted filesystems, I have not yet encountered any problems. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.0°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

+1 I have one setup with a btrfs running a very basic system on a 20G drive and all the real stuff on a server mounted by NFS: "My Documents", "My Music" "My Photographs", as well as downloads and reference files. -- /"\ \ / ASCII Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML Mail / \ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Latest version of NFS works fine if you specify the nolock parameter in /etc/fstab or in YaST NFS client. -- Paul Groves -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I opened bug 567327 on year 2009. Has been closed days ago, as wontfix, without any investigation at all. IMHO, It is pointless to report issues in Bugzilla about OO/LO. Issues of LO/OO with shares have been a plague for years, they come and go. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. I guess now here:
They could have said that back in 2009, instead of closing a bug bureaucratically now, 5 years later, with no activity. And anyway, if you report upstream, they can tell you to use the upstream most recent packages, instead of your distribution outdated packages. The normal procedure should be to report on your distribution, and only if the issue is an upstream one, then send to report upstream instead. Or for the distribution people to report, as they probably know more about the package and the build parameters than a plain user. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. I guess you've already opened a bug report? I'm also using LibreOffice with NFS-mounted filesystems, I have not yet encountered any problems. Yes I have,
I have just found the issue on a 12.3 machine as well. It has only happened on linux computers with libreoffice 4.1.6.2-21.1 rolling back to the previous version NFS works fine. -- Paul Groves -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
