[opensuse] YOU Repository
I'm setting up a suse 9.0 machine, I guess I should've expected not to find an online YOU repository. is there any way I can take the updates from a system that was updated prior to support being pulled and copy all the packages out of /var/lib/Yast2/mnt/..... and put them on the new machine and get YOU to read them that way? I had exactly the same problem at the end of last year, it was answered at http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2006-12/threads18.html - search for "Updates for 9.0 Professional". The updates were on line at that time. Vince Littler -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Please deinstall and upgrade your machine. Leaving it unsecure on the Internet is _NOT_ recommended. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ciao, Marcus
Mine has gone in the last week. Well, I still have the hardware, and I put IPcop on it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Of course, but some of us still have old machines that will not accept newer SUSE versions. For instance, I have a pentium I, 32 MB ram, running 7.3, which I some times use. I'd love to update the OS, but I can't. Or "it" can't. I also have a 386SX which "runs" 6.x. I haven't dare try my 8086, though ;-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. They go to the "discontinued" tree on some of the servers. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
