I was able to watch it in mozilla 1.0 using the RealPlayer stream. The sound streamed ok, but the video was horribly choppy. I've watched enough World Cup streams online the past few weeks to know that it's not a problem with my setup. Their server must have a very choppy video sequence. //Anders -- `When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'

Seems to play fine using Mozilla 1.0. The 300k stream wasn't too bad in terms of quality; I have certainly seen worse. Kevin -- It will be advantageous to cross the great stream ... the Dragon is on the wing in the Sky ... the Great Man rouses himself to his Work.
While I await a solution to my CF reader challenge I thought I'd get back to this video challenge on my own computer. I have tried several of the Tools "Change Browser Identification" options to no avail. My options in SuSE 8.0 do not include Mozilla 1.0 When I right click anywhere on the pop-up window that comes up when the Trailer is selected I get "About Macromedia Flash Player 5" Since none of the Trailer play options are Flash I have no idea why this is happening. In order to watch a Real Player trailer, you will first need to put the correct plugin in the /opt/mozilla/plugins directory. For RealMedia files, you will need rpnp.so. I am honestly not sure if this is a plugin that comes as part of the Netscape plugins package on the SuSE8 cd, or if you will first need to install Real Player. An easy way to find this on your system is to type "locate rpnp.so". If this does not turn it up, then install Real Player. After Real Player is installed, all you need to do is type "cp /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/rpnp.so /opt/mozilla/plugins", and that should do it. Then start moz, and add the correct mime types, which will be audio/x-pn-realaudio, and video/x-pn-realvideo, and specify that they be handled by /opt/mozilla/plugins/rpnp.so. Don't forget to specify the file extension, which is rm. I would really suggest that you upgrade to Mozilla 1.0. It is definitely worth the couple of minutes to download and install it. HTH, Kevin
Problem: Locate does not exist (I was using Bash). Should it have been installed when I installed SuSE 8.0 or do I need to track it down and load it? Thanks! doc

What's Up Doc! Sorry could not resist that Bugs Bunny phrase! ;o) Yes you have to install it manually, it doesn't install by default in SuSE 8.0 for reasons already discussed here earlier. Be sure to check your cron files though as the updatedb is set to run daily about 12:15 am and pretty much locks down the computer until it finishes. Right, sorry about that. Locate is no longer installed by default. Instead, you can use which, for example: which realplay on my system gives: /usr/X11R6/bin/realplay Or, you can use the find command, but I think it is a bit much for something as simple as this. Alternatively, you can use the Find Files option in the KDE menu, if you're using KDE. This tells me that Realplayer is installed. If it is, then rpnp.so should be in /usr/lib/RealPlayer8. If this is so, then cp /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/rpnp.so /opt/mozilla/plugins and then follow the directions for adding the mime type. If you want to install locate, you will find it on your cd's in group a, which is Linux Base System. The package itself is called findutils-locate. You can install it with YaST2. Kevin

Yes, you will need to be root to do this. However, check the file that you are trying to copy. This is how it should look: cp /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/rpnp.so /opt/mozilla/plugins You're definitely getting closer. Don't give up! :-) Kevin
Ok, did the "su" thing, became root, and did the Copy. Opened RealPlayer and in addition to an error: "cannot open audion device. Another application may be using it." I canot find anything about "mime" in the Preferences or anywhere else. What am I missing, please/ Thanks! doc
