Sorry, but I can`t find my gnome pannels. (see how they were) http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Adagilson/2003_09_17_064049_shot.jpg Last time I turn off my computer the screen was frozen (I think that it is not using the power saving mode -auto turn off- very well). Then I pressed the reset button. My SuSE 8.0 was restarted and Gnome session is openning good, but I can`t find my pannels. (see how my desktop can be seen now) http://mywebpage.netscape.com/Adagilson/wherearemypannels.jpg Thanks for any idea how to restore my old pannels. a. ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/

You should have tried killing the session.

I know.
Thanks for any idea how to restore my old pannels.
a) Recreate them. or b) Erase all gnome configurations or c) create new user. All of them bad. It seems that gnome saves the panels on exit, and if it fails, you loose them. Don't know why it can not leave them as they are, don't save anything. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
I just typed... panel ...in a x terminal and restarted the session (make logon again). This will make appear all hiden pannels. Also, I found that if you delete ./gnome/session at /home/yourname it will recreate a default session with new pannels for you (I DIDN'T TRIED THIS). a. adagilson@cpqam.fiocruz.br escreveu:
