Re: [SLE] Really strange network problem..
Hello,
Is this a 100baseT network? If so, I ran into this
problem, but mine revolved around MS workstations on
my LAN not having the current drivers. Once I updated
(Linsys, by the way) the network was fine.
Without knowing distance, network topology, lanspeed,
etc.. it's hard to tell.

Hello..
I have a question.. If this cant be soloved here I guess its the cables that needs to be replaced (again)..
After my link to my suse box died a few times i did this,
--- foo.sys.net ping statistics --- 82 packets transmitted, 54 packets received, 34% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 0.767/0.801/0.983 ms
It kinda dies off sometimes.. no reason.. have checked logs, no indications of any problems.
Have anyone experienced this ?

I have been able to isolate this to that the box isnt listening to all the ips as it should. My box has three ips, one "real" and two for internal use. It seems to produce package loss on one of thoose ips (192.168.1.1).. I think that could have to do with the fact that two of the ips are on eth0 (eth0 and eth0:0) and the second is on eth0:1.. maybe the problem will be soloved if I move 192.168.1.1 to eth0:2 ? Makes me.. wonder what more could happen.. :P Per Eriksson WCT #1857 webbie@phanatic.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
