[opensuse] Cannot remove gStreamer??
Trying to get .wmvs to play in Firefox, .. doing a standard plugin search, I came up with gStreamer, which DNW. Googling produced the correct procedure, but I cannot *REMOVE* gStreamer! Anytime I highlight one or more of the packages in Software Management, it hangs the package manager.
Is this a bug in Software Management, .. manual install vs. auto removal, .. or ?? Do I need to worry about removing gStreamer?
TIA, Lee -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Nothing related to gstreamer itself. Maybe you have a corrupted rpm database. Use another incarnation for the package manager. Yast in qt or gtk or ncurses mode, for instance. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. If this is the case, the simplest solution would be to execute rpm --rebuilddb from the command line. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
