[SLE] running named as a special user
Hey, another stupid question. named is started default as root, but id like to run it as the user named (which is included in the etc/passwd) Right now i use /usr/sbin/named -u named and it works fine, after i have chown'd the /var/run to user named so it can save its named.pid there.. I checked thru the suse config and cant find anywhere where it says how to configure what user ndc will start named with.. Also checked the named.conf.. any suggestions.. ? I have thought about turning the CHECK_PERMISSIONS flag off at yast so it wont correct the ownership over /var/run but it would be fun to not have to do that. :P Per Eriksson WCT #1857 webbie@phanatic.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
