[opensuse] What happened to repair?
I was working on a system that lacked a sane bios. Suffice to say I ran into problems and when I went looking for repair system under install I didn't find it. I was using a net install CD. Has that been totally removed or did I just not find it? Bruce Ferrell -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

the repair module was removed.. a decision and not an oversight.. it broken by age and a fast moving target and no Novell resources were devoted to bring it up to current and working.. the community was asked to pick up support...no one did, so bye-bye.. a google should find more specific info (it has been discussed in one or more mail lists as well as the web forum).. It's gone. It was used mostly for boot loader issues, but that has become so complicated that frequently manual intervention (beyond most users) was required anyway. System rescue mode is still there. Personally, I use a live-CD to get under the hood. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
