[opensuse] I thought Vista was bad about splattering dialogs - kde44 takes the cake :p
Guys, I was quite surprised when 16 nepomuk dialogs splattered themselves across my screen filling in the display. I was able to kill a few in a valiant effort to stave off the assault, but I was overrun in the end :-( (277k) http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/kde4/nepomukfromhell.jpg Reduced (93k) http://www.3111skyline.com/dl/bugs/kde4/nepomukfromhell800.jpg The real pisser? You have to back out of the dialogs in the order they appeared (another bug that needs resolving) so it was quite a bit more involved than just clicking the remaining 13 times to close the last 13 nepomuk dialogs. Hunt and pek ~100 times took care of it. There are so many bugs open on nepumuk/Vosotro that it is hard to know which one to add information to. Will, Dotan, Sven, you got a favorite nepomuk bug at bugs.kde.org # you want me to add the info to? God, I'm still chuckling at the "Attack of the killer dialogs...." -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. 'Had some of that after I first upgraded to 4.4.....don't remember now what I did to get rid of the errors. nepomuk seems to be a combo. of rocket science and alchemy at this point, so I'm ignoring it. :) Fred -- “The sword of Muhammad and the Qur'an are the most fatal enemies of civilization, liberty and truth which the world has ever known - an unmitigated cultural disaster parading as God's will.” --Sir William Muir -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That's why God invented 'pkill' #! sudo /bin/sh cd /usr/bin for i in nepomuk* do echo "exit 1" > $i done TA-DA! -- "A witty saying proves nothing." -- Voltaire -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sure: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217111, which is fixed for KDE SC 4.4.1, which is out tomorrow. And yes, it annoyed me too.
