Hi Kai
I've done that and flash player is not showing. And, i'm using 64bit OS.
What should i do next?
Switch to 32-bit Firefox?
AFAIK, there are issues with the plugins for 64-bit.
I don't know - never used it.
Ok, thanks for that. How do i do that? do i have to download the 32bit version again, or is there a way to change a setting or something similar?
I actually don't know. I've not been blessed with a 64-bit system yet. I've personally had no trouble getting Flash to work in either FF2 or FF3 using the x86_64 build - just isntall nspluginwrapper and that should take care of it for you. It was installed and enabled by default for me in 10.3 - I had to set it up manually in 10.2 iirc. -jayson -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks Jayson - i've checked and nspluginwrapper was installed by default, or at least it is showing as installed. Do i need to change a setting to enable it? Jamie -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You need to use nspluginwrapper for each plugin that needs to be "64-bitized". A command similar to nspluginwrapper -i /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so Will do the trick for you, make sure that /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so exists, but this should be the default place the flash plugin installs. I found this link http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux-amd64.html quite informative when I first learned of the nspluginwrapper (oh what a beautiful day that was); it contains this information and much more. No problem. I myself just barely discovered this after months of 64-bit SUSE. I wonder, was it just me that missed the existence of nspluginwrapper, or is it just not very prominently "advertised" anywhere? --Jason -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You usually don't have to know much about it since it should be integrated automatically so it works. Unfortunately there are a few issues (including a glibc bug) which keeps it from happen in every case.
