[opensuse] nrpe compiled without --enable-command-args
I was trying to setup nagios and nrpe and couldn't get the remote commands to work even after enabling "dont_blame_nrpe=1". After pulling my hair for a while I found that nagios-nrpe is compiled without --enable-command-args so I had to recompile from source to get it to work. Any special reason (besides the obvious security risk part) that OpenSuSE ships with nrp command-args disabled ? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- Techwiz, Peter Sjoberg PGP key (12F506C8) on keyserver & homepage Key fingerprint = 3DC2 CEBA 1590 B41A 3780 955A DB42 02BB 12F5 06C8 mailto:peters AT techwiz.ca http://www.techwiz.ca/~peters -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No special reason besides a bit of a security risk but as it's disabled by config per default it has been changed in server:monitoring already. You might want to add this repository on your system. http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/monitoring/openSUSE_10.3/ Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
