Hi Folks... Finally pushed to the brink on my W2K work laptop, I've decided that I'm going to thumb my nose to corporate standards and migrate it to SuSe. The reason I haven't done so long ago is that it has to be seamless in terms of functionality. The two bigs: Office and VPN. I've noticed that people are reporting good success with Office2K under Wine. One down, one to go. I'm using the Nortel Extranet VPN client for remote connectivity from W2K. Can someone suggest a VPN client for SuSe that will provide the same functionality, transparent to the VPN gateway? Anyone tried this before? Thanx, Christopher Hollow

You'll probably have more success using the CrossoverOffice version of wine, although this costs money. Office is completely functional under cxoffice. You can try Cisco VPN Client -> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/ They have a Linux version which should run on SuSE. HTH, Martin

I'm not sure how Cisco would connect to a Nortel VPN server. And yes Cisco does provide a working VPN software client. I use it my self. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)

Based on below link I would assume cisco client won't work with Nortel. Martin http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/products_qanda_item091... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail SpamGuard - Read only the mail you want. http://antispam.yahoo.com/tools
