I hope this isnt an obvious question, but I am trying to install a compressed program in SuSE 8.1 that was compressed using Uuencode and the script to decompress the program cant find Uudecode. Has anyone else had this problem and can you tell me where to find Uuencode/Uudecode or where I can get it. Thanks. Galen Grimes

They are part of the package sharutils. Charles -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+gPqh3epPyyKbwPYRAkPFAKCNQjvpVwERbWpzg9pTSJjIs0KXbACeP6/s fOAjWFCQB9JPhNiGVT1Jj3o= =rCMh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

uuencode doesn't compress files (actually, it makes them larger), it just converts them to text so they can be emailed. They are both in the sharutils package. -- -ckm
