-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Since a few weeks back, when using Thunderbird (XFCE/Leap 15.2) I have a problem with the mouse: often a click is interpreted as double click or two clicks. For example, I hit "reply", and two identical reply windows are opened. That would be "two clicks". Or I click on a thread, and the entire thread is opened as a multitude of tabs. That would be a double click. On XFCE Settings, Mouse and Touchpad configuration, Behaviour, I have set the double click threasold to 501 mS, ie, half a second. No change. Maybe Thunderbird does its own separate mouse handling? What can I do? Someone else noticed this? My mouse is a logitech marble trackball. hwinfo says: Telcontar:~ # hwinfo --mouse 59: USB 00.1: 10503 USB Mouse [Created at usb.122] Unique ID: PsRb.FBtr+tYVKV1 Parent ID: k4bc.029GFTetOb3 SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.3/0000:03:00.0/usb1/1-13/1-13:1.1 SysFS BusID: 1-13:1.1 Hardware Class: mouse Model: "Holtek USB Keyboard" Hotplug: USB Vendor: usb 0x04d9 "Holtek Semiconductor, Inc." How old is your mouse? The only time I've ever noticed this behaviour is when the mouse is getting old and needs to be replaced.

It is old, yes, maybe 2010, but it doesn't seem to happen outside of Thunderbird. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

My mouse tests correctly on that page, not a single error happens. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Another mouse quirk that only happens on Thunderbird: There is a menu that says "Spelling" with a down arrow. CLick and hold, and several languages appear: Spelling ↓ English (Canada) English (United Kingdom) English (United States) es-ANY Spanish (Spain). Well, the default is last one. I hover with the mouse, intending to select the first one, then, sometimes, the second one "auto clicks" without me doing anything. If the mouse were broken, it would "auto click" on a random one, but it is always the same one. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
