About a week or so ago I posted a message about my file permissions changing automatically on my log files and that I wanted to make them readable as a regular user (at least messages) and Lenz suggested changing the entries in /etc/permissions. I thought that would solve the problem but it didn't. I checked some more and tried a few other things but still no fix. I have tried making an entry in /etc/permissions.local and setting it to check against in Yast and that didn't help either.
