And if I'm planning a holiday or some trip, I want to know about the opportunities for eating, tasting wine, going out, and sleeping. And I won't let technical snobbiness get into the way of that information gathering.
Any website built by or for somebody who doesn't understand or care why they should use another approach is an excellent target for any criminals looking to exploit weak websites.
So you tell me that there might be criminals who pose as small Web site producers who use the work for B&B owners to produce something that attacks my Linux browser with flash plugin? Or who produce fake sites with B&B information and seed that information in tripadvisor and other rating sites so that people like me visit them? In my world, back-on-the-envelop risk analysis tells me that I can take that risk. There are much more important things to pay attention to, securitywise, IMHO.
