In KDE3 I used to rt clic>create new on the Desktop. Could a widget be a blank folder or say, a blank text file? I'm really missing this. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I don't think you can do that. I played with KDE4 for a few days and the only thing that worked for me was right-clicking on things in the K Menu and clicking Add To Desktop. Here is my conversation from #kde: [12:52] <mfmii> I am new to KDE4. Is the ability to create blank documents on the desktop one of the "missing features"? [12:53] <blauzahl-laptop> blanks documents? [12:53] <qratz> blauzahl, lol [12:53] <mfmii> When I right-click there is no New > Text File etc. [12:53] <blauzahl-laptop> kjot? kate? kword? [12:53] <mfmii> Well I was just wondering if the alternate menu was finished or if this was a bug. [12:54] <blauzahl-laptop> oh. "create new"---> [12:54] <mfmii> Yes. [12:54] <blauzahl-laptop> doesn't exist yet in plainn stuff, i guess [12:55] <mfmii> OK, thanks. [12:55] <blauzahl-laptop> bet there's a feature request in the bugzilla wishlist, you can always vote on it Maybe you can get more answers on the channel. Or maybe there is a bug you can vote on.
