RE: [SLE] 6.3 and pcmcia?
Another possibility is that you're using loadlin. If you are, there's a catch for doing upgrades. Basically you'll need to mount whatever drive you really boot too (probably hda1) and go to the loadlin directory there, and copy the vmlinuz file from /boot to that directory, then backup the zimage or perhaps bzimage file there, and then rename the vmlinuz to zimage or bzimage. The updates don't know anything about loadlin, so they won't update that. Drove me nuts for two days figuring it out. Mail me direct if you have problems with doing this. Lee

Run Yast & install pcmcia which should sort itself out.

good day all ...
i just did a fresh install of 6.3 onto one of my laptops. it installs fine, off my nfs server using the pcmcia ethernet adapter. however, when i boot the installed system, pcmcia fails to start with a:
PCMCIA: Module Directory /lib/modules/2.2.5/pcmcia not found.
why is the installed pcmcia looking for modules in /.../2.2.5/ instead of the installed /.../2.2.13/ ?
