clean install with Suse 7 (pro) in a HP server, the SCSI controller can detect the Internal HP SureStore 24i tape drive, and the kernel detected the tape drive as st0, but it didn't appeared in anyway, is it got someway to "mount" the tape drive? thanks ckh :)

As far as I know, the tape drive cannot be mounted auto like a hard drive is. It must be mounted from the command line (or a icon on the desktop??) like the floppy drive is. Or more precise: A disk is a DASD (Direct Access Storage Device) while a tape is a SASD (Sequential ...) A sequential device can not be mounted.
