Oh come on Mark,
How many messages do you get weekly, and how many of those messages are from Fred? 3, 4 maybe 5? Fred's messages are always very small. Just a link and a brief description what it's about. Fred is a long time member of this list and although his messages are mostly (agreed) OT, the links he sends us ARE linux oriented and almost always interesting to read (to me anyway). So it's not like he's flooding us with spam, is he? I like his presence on this list and I'd regret to see him leave. (so keep sending us these links Fred!)
mazzel, Marcel
The list is one thing. I was just curious about that. Off-list is another. Why do I get them OFF-LIST. My wife gets them too. She's never been on this list.
I think you are absolutely right Mark, sending mails to us off-list if it doesn't have to do with any questions we are discussing, shouldn't be accepted. But it's alright with me when people send plain info messages and even 'some' OT questions to the list adress. ei -- @~~ EagleIce ~ gnu4u@linux.nu ~~@ @~~ Running GNU/Linux & KDE ~~@
