REBOOT?!!!!!! Sir, this IS Linux. {;-)> Would it not be far better to simply obtain a root console and `init 3`; once runlevel 3 is establised `init 5`? The /etc/rc.config is certainly something every SuSE Linux Admin should understand well. There is a wonderful mask for it in YaST2 which you have probably looked at. Nonetheless, understanding what the the /etc/rc.config does, is very helpful when going beyond basic administration. Steven
Hello I changed the login manager by going to yast , System Administration, Login Configuration and choose XDM, KDM or GDM. Is this what you were looking for? bob On Saturday 16 February 2002 07:02, Steven T. Hatton wrote:

One way to do it is to open YaST2 ->System->RC-Config Editor->Base Administration->Login.
