[opensuse] 11.0 is still using outdated versions of libdvdnav and libdvdread
Hi, I just noticed that you are still including very old and unmaintained versions of libdvdnav and libdvdread. A fork of both is available here: http://svn.mplayerhq.hu/dvdnav/trunk/ with a considerable amount of fixes, improvements and cleanups. Additionally now libdvdnav doesn't include anymore libdvdread. Please, considering updating your packages -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Nico, Sad that such a thing is announced just around release date and not during alpha/beta phase, when an update of a package is actually possible. I would not expect to see a package change now. In best case for 11.1 we can have something like this replaced. To be sure it does not get lost, mark it in bugzilla.novell.com as a request. That should ensure it is being properly tracked. ok, but IIRC opening a bugzilla entry in Novell's db was a royal PITA last time I tried to do it. I'll have to add to the list dvbstream, dvbtune :( BTW, why is fuseftp still excluded? No idea. But you may ask in the factory list, some developers and maintainers lurk there ;-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Or at least, mention it in the factory list. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. No offense. Actually I am more surprised that the packager is not up to date with mplayer development. The usuage of the svn version of dvdnav have been the recommendation on the mplayer/mencoder lists for a long time now (some time in 2007). Also, an announcement was made on 2008-04-15 on the mplayer site concerning the release of dvdnav-4.1.2. Charles
