[opensuse] libnetsnmp.so.15?
I'm trying to install fwbuilder on OpenSuSE 11.3, but I get a missing dependency for libnetsnmp.so.15. I've searched in Software Management for that, but it doesn't appear. Any ideas? tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

How do you install it and is this a RPM built for openSUSE? Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, it's an RPM for OpenSUSE 11.2, from sourceforge. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Why not go to http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=fwbuilder&baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.3&lang=de&exclude_filter=home%3A&exclude_debug=true pick the one you wnat and install it via 1-click install? That way you make sure you get a package with the correct dependencies. I was able to install this using the one click install to my test system. However, it has to be installed on my firewall, where there's no desktop and no browser available. This means I want to be able to download the rpm(s) and go from there. One click install will not be an option on my firewall. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You sound as if that is a problem? The fwbuilder rpms are also available for manual download, same url as above. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (13.8°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

As I mentioned above, I did download it from that site and got that error. I haven't tried the other site someone else mentioned. I'll have to when I build my new firewall, as my test computer now has fwbuilder on it by using that one click install. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

FWIW, I also had a package yesterday that required libnetsnmp.so.15 - I installed with --nodeps, thinking that libnetsnmp.so.20 would surely provide whatever libnetsnmp.so.15 did. Install fwbuilder from the repository at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/worldcitizen/openSUSE_11.3/ Works great. -- openSUSE w/GNOME http://www.opensuse.org/en/ Linux for human beings who need to get work done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
