So, as I see, there is already KDE3 repo added, why do you need additional channel to add? Hi Erik, Why are you trying this? I don't think this is going to work, Erik. If you want 10.1, install 10.1. If you want to upgrade 10.0 to 10.1 (as opposed to installing 'fresh',) at least try doing so using the 10.1 installation DVD. Perhaps you didn't look hard enough: http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0/ *That* is what you need! Fireup smart's GUI, and delete *all* 10.1 channels. As I could not find an easy way of adding a channel in the smart GUI, I say quit the GUI, and add the above 10.0 channel to smart. You must know by now how. I deleted the 10.1 channels by use yast.
YaST and smart are two different animals. However, "smart channel --show" would show you the current channels. You'll see if there are still 10.1 channels left. If they are, use the smart GUI to remove them. If you have installed the package 'smart-gui', you'll find it in KDE menu -> System -> Configuration. You can install 'smart-gui' with YaST, if needed. All ok Leen. Now I'm installing the kde3.5.3 for my suse10.0. I'm using yast for it, and it seems to work ok. I agree with you, but I have the problem, as you know, where the upgrade looks like all is ok, but it's not. Smart in upgrademode is hanging in a loop, and will not stop before I do a forced stop of the session.

Leen, looks like there is problem with your email. Most probably it is included in some public blacklist or something. All mails sent by you are put in the spam folder on my gmail account, and I did not force it. You should try to investigate it. I did notice a problem when sending mail to Erik. I did investigate a bit and did not think it was serious. But clearly it is. :( Thanks for telling me, I'll investigate deeper. :) Sunny: could you forward one of those "spam-emails" as an attachment to my private mail?
