Between looking on the net and this newsgroup, I've decided. Thanks You all finally made me right down what all I want in my network and do a topology diagram. The two things that pushed me toward vnc were I want to create my own dial up server, in case I am away from home and need net access, and a vpn to a from a remote local (parents house and brothers) so I can look at thier problems without the drive. Brother runs Linux but not on everything and mom only knows Windows and likes those goofy online games, so following the old kiss principle, vnc is cross platform and only have to configure one thing. If it weren't for remote access, it would have been x. Thanks Randal
