My personal suggestion: put a cd burner there and create a multi-session bootdisk for best results. Floppy disk media flakes out at the most important part of any software project. Settings were copied from /boot/.../menu.lst Mandriva section was copied from /boot/grub/menu.lst from its partition, but it cannot start with this setting. I haven't found any solution how to start Slax or Fedora, these settings are only test. I cannot start Fedora, because there wasn't option for storing GRUB to floppy I have chossen "without boot loader". I made symlinks to "initrd-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4.img" and "vmlinuz-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4" with names "vmlinuz" and "initrd" What am I doing wrong?
