SuSE 9.2 and running Windows programs under WINE
Hi all, Looking to visit my local SuSE supplier in the next week or so to possibly pickup my own copy of 9.2, BUT, I will only do so if the GUI ability to setup the WINE system, under KDE, to run Windows programs is there. I have read that Quicken is supported under WINE and whilst I know there are Linux alternatives, the few I have tried are not as user friendly. Please do let me know what results you have on running Windows apps on Linux. -- The Little Helper ======================================================================== Hylton Conacher - Linux user # 229959 at http://counter.li.org Currently using SuSE 9.0 Professional with KDE 3.1 Licenced Windows user ========================================================================

I am using CrossoverOffice and Quicken 2003 and it works. I tried 2005 but it wouldn't load, but I was able to exprt my data and import it into Quicken 2003.

Is your '2005' also called Quicken XG, and I wonder why it wouldn't load, anything related under var/log messages? -- The Little Helper ======================================================================== Hylton Conacher - Linux user # 229959 at http://counter.li.org Currently using SuSE 9.0 Professional with KDE 3.1 Licenced Windows user ========================================================================

I have to second the use of Crossover Office. That's a wonderful program. We've been using it for almost two years now to run DreamWeaver MX in Linux. Works great! -- Warm regards, Jordan Michaels Vivio Technologies http://www.viviotech.net/ jordan@viviotech.net
