Hi all, I decided to start a new thread from the KDE menu item we were discussing, so we could deal with Mozilla. I can't seem to get Mozilla working or any other Mozilla built program. Running 9.0, with all updates, both from the updates directory and supplementary KDE directory. Although, I can't see how KDE would affect Mozilla, except maybe for the XFree86 update. Mozilla starts, add a url, hit enter, tries for a second, then quits, disappears! Same for Moz mail, Thunderbird, Firebird, Epiphany. Seems as though loading graphics, etc. brings it down. I have another system with just a fresh install of 9.0 and Mozilla works there, no problems, so it is something that has been introduced with the updates, I believe. Any thoughts, suggestions? Anyone else experiencing same after updates? Lee -- --- KMail v1.5.4 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.0 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...

Ok, yes, I am answering my own mail, but I didn't want others pouring over this for no reason. Mozilla problem is fixed. I had to do two things to get a working version. First of all, I had to change the /etc/modules.conf file, as Philipp suggested & SuSE database showed. I then run "depmod -a" , to reset the modules and then I unloaded the IPv6 module. SuSE's Mozillas still did not work for me after doing this, so I decided to download the "real" Mozilla from mozilla.org. Thanks to my personal "guru" for pointing this out. This copy of Mozilla works very nicely. In fact, much faster than the Mozilla rpm SuSE distributes. Guess with convenience comes some bloat. Even if you are not having problems with Mozilla, I suggest you get mozilla.org's file! So to summarize: Cut off the IPv6 Install Mozilla from mozilla.org Thanks to anyone that put a thought into this!
