Hi,
Today, after running a SuSE 9.0 PC with software RAID1 for several
days, i have issued: 'dmesg | grep md'
The last lines of the output gave me something to worry about:
md: md driver 0.90.0 MAX_MD_DEVS=256, MD_SB_DISKS=27
md: Autodetecting RAID arrays.
md: autorun ...

EXT3 FS 2.4-0.9.19, 19 August 2002 on md(9,0), internal journal
I ran the following commands:
mdadm --examine /dev/md0 gave me:
No Superblock found on /dev/md0 ...
hdparm -T /dev/md0 spitted out:
... 1212 MB/sec (nothing to worry about)
the 'cat /proc/mdstat' was:
Personalities : [raid1]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md0 : active raid1 hde1[1] hdc1[0]
156280192 blocks [2/2] [UU]
unused devices: <none>
The system is has been running without any problems. I admit that i'am a
bit confused. Should i pay attention to the last lines of 'dmesg' or
the message can be ignored. I have checked the output on another PC
(similar setup with SuSE 9.0).
The output was the same. It seems (at least for me) that there are some
issues with raidtools.
Any clue ?
