[SLE] In apache were do i save html files
When using apache as a webserver. Where is the default location were I save my *.html files. Also, how do I load the files to the server. I also need to know if I can use front page 2000 to create the files and copy them to the server. How do I setup the default directory to post the files in a share directory. The web server's root directory is at: /usr/local/httpd/htdocs so place any files you want to appear on the server below that directory. As to 'loading' the files to the server - I'm assuming that your actually sitting at the machine now... all you have to do is copy the files to the above directory. If you don't have access to the web server like that, it's a different story. I don't know anything about FrontPage 2000, but I do know that Apache doesen't support FrontPage Extensions by default, and making it do so is troublesome. Standard HTML files produced by FrontPage can be put on the server though.
