Can anyone inform me what SuSE 8.0 package provides ndbm.h? Further, is there a clever program (YastN) which can tell me this information without the package installed? (i.e., rpm -qpi isn't going to work until the package is present...) Thanks much. Michael -- Michael Fischer Happiness is a config option. michael@visv.net Recompile and be happy.

In the root of the first CD (and the DVD) there's a file called ARCHIVES.gz andjoh@winona:/SuSE-8.0/CD1> zgrep ndbm.h ARCHIVES.gz ./CD3/suse/d3/gdbm-devel-1.8.0-546.i386.rpm: -rw-r--r-- root root 2003 Mar 23 18:37 /usr/include/ndbm.h So the file is in package gdbm-devel on the third CD. There is a SuSE program "pin", but all it does is the above. regards Anders

Thank you Anders, Julian. Just what I needed. BTW, what is "HTH"? Michael -- Michael Fischer Happiness is a config option. michael@visv.net Recompile and be happy.
