I have Kmail 1.7. When I want to see more of the header of a note, I go to View - Headers, but the Headers menu is greyed out. How do I find information in the header (other than by saving the note as text)? Thanks dj tuchler

dj tuchler Right mouse button on the email and choose "View Source". That's what works for me....if I understand the question right.

Tom's suggestion will work, of course, but to me it's not much better than saving the raw message and opening it in a separate editor. However, there appears to be something wrong with KMail on your system, since those menus should not be grayed out. I use the alternate header views (plus HTML on/off and fixed-width font on/off) often enough to have added buttons for these commands to the main KMail window's toolbar. Perhaps you could try doing the same to see if the header mode choices work in that context. Randall Schulz

I don't use the preview pane, but rather just double clik the email and open it in it's own window, then use

Figured it out....The message preview pane needs to be turned on. In Kontact it's Settings>Configure Kmail>Appearance>Layout then click "Show the message preview pane below the message list" Click OK. Then when you see the message, go up to View and now the View Headers will work. Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems, Inc. 1.805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
