Need help with f-prot and CPAN
So I installed f-prot workstation and got it working with postfix and amavis. Now, when I try to run an update on f-prot to get the latest virus definitions, I get the following error: mailserver:~ # /usr/local/f-prot/tools/check-updates.pl Error: Unable to include perl module: 'HTTP::Request'. Please install this module and try re-running this script. (Hint: man CPAN) Fatal error. Exiting... I'm not very good with CPAN. What do I need to do here? Also, my mailserver is running SuSE 8.2. Thanks for the help! Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com

How about installing the pre-built rpm suse provides? It's called perl-libwww-perl
I didn't know I could do that. I'll give it a shot. Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
After I have installed f-prot in my system I found the package qtfprot that is a gui for f-prot. It is very nice. Cheers Thadeu On Monday 19 January 2004 20:31, Tom Nielsen wrote:

Just downloaded it and tried to install. I'm never able to build from sources for some reason. Here's what I get when I tried ./configure checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths! That was the last line. Should I be doing this from inside my user's home directory? Even though everything's working, why did I have that problem with CPAN? Tom -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com
