HI Robert, There have been a couple related threads about this. In short, there is a direct correlation between YAST2 malfunctions and the installation of KDE 3.0.1. Search throughout the month of May to find more posts on this topic.

I don't believe that this will solve the problem. If you must have the YAST2 functionality, reinstall KDE 3.0. I don't believe that I've seen an official acknowledgement of this problem from SuSE, nor have I seen a definitive fix. Most likely, this problem will be fixed soon. I had problems with Yast2 after the initial upgrade to KDE 3.01, but after applying the RMPs dated May 30 everything started working perfectly again.

I tried that but unfortunately my YaST2 is still broken. :-( -- Andy Stewart, Founder Worcester Linux Users' Group Worcester, MA USA http://www.wlug.org

I tried that but unfortunately my YaST2 is still broken. :-( I have not a good luck. I download all base packages and run rpm -Uvh --nodeps --force *.rpm, but yast2 still wrong. Thadeu
