Hello, A friend of mine (knowing that I use linux at home and work) asked me the other day about setting up a Linux machine that works like TIVO does. He said he read something a couple months back about it. My first question I guess would be if anyone knows of any good TV Video cards that work with Suse Linux 8.1 and then where would I find the software that I would need to set it up. Thanks in advance for any help y'all can give

Hi Jon, just received a copy of the latest issue of Linux Format (UK magazine) and it's cover disc features 'Freevo' homepage http://freevo.sourceforge.net. haven't had chance to read up on it yet. TV cards (e.g. Leadtek) are quite well supported but USB devices are not. Hope this helps, Paul M.

I gave this a try a couple days ago, didn't seem to work. Might not have the horsepower though (PIII, 450Mhz, 384MB) Josh
