configuring a D-link dsl-200 usb ADSL modem
Hi there, I've tried to get a dsl-200 usb modem running under SuSE 8.2. Everything works fine until I try to start using it. The error message from the kinternet log is as follows: SuSE Meta pppd (smpppd-ifcfg), Version 1.00 on xxxxx-xxx. We are disconnected. trying to connect to smpppd connect to smpppd We are disconnected. Interface is . We are connecting. pppd: Plugin pppoatm.so loaded. pppd: PPPoATM plugin_init pppd: Plugin passwordfd.so loaded. pppd: PPPoATM setdevname - remove unwanted options pppd: PPPoATM setdevname_pppoatm - SUCCESS:0.38 pppd: connect(0.38): No such device We are disconnected. pppd died: Fatal pppd error (exit code 1) Please advise what the next step is.
